Revision: Trial Exams

This course has been designed to assist learners prepare for the upcoming Matric trials examinations. We will cover the largest and most important topics in the CAPS syllabus. In addition to some basics, we will also examine some difficult problem-solving questions.

  • In this first lesson on trig, we look at the Cartesian plane, ratio in terms of a letter, and simplification using the reduction formulae.

  In this first lesson on functions, we look at the quadratic function and its applications.

  In this second lesson trig, we look at Identities and general solutions.

  Paper 1: Functions (2)

  In this second lesson on functions, we look at the hyperbola and inverse functions.

  Paper 2: Euclidean Geometry

  In this lesson, we work through exam-type questions on Euclidean geometry.

  Paper 1: Cubic Functions

  In this final lesson on functions, we look at the cubic function and its applications.

  Paper 2: Circle Analytical Geometry

  In this lesson, we will revise the basic Grade 11 concepts and focus on the Grade 12 analytical geometry applications.

  Paper 1: Sequences and Series

  In this lesson, we revise sum and term formulae, as well as various applications including Sigma notation.

  Paper 2: Revising Statistics

  This lesson covers revision of Grade 11 cumulative frequency, mean and standard deviation. We will then focus on bivariate data.

  Paper 1: Probability (1)

  This lesson covers revision of Venn diagrams, tree diagrams and contingency tables.

  Paper 2: General Trigonometry

  This lesson covers revision of all general trig, including compound and double angles.

  This lesson covers revision of fundamental counting principles and factorial notation.
