Measurement [Maths Lit]
In this course, we will be covering the topic of measurement. More specifically, we will work with conversions, as well as measuring length, distance, mass, volume, temperature and time.
The second part of this course focuses on calculating perimeter, area, total surface area and volume.
This course is an important part of your Maths Literacy curriculum so I look forward to seeing you all in class!

Measurement Systems; Length and Distance
In this lesson, we will compare the metric system to the imperial system. We will also work on measuring length and distance, as well as their conversions.

Mass and Volume
In this lesson, we will look into conversions and calculations involving metric and imperial units of mass and volume. We will also work on converting between measurements of liquids and solids.

In this lesson, we will go through conversions and calculations involving units of temperature, as well as measuring and displaying time.

Time Conversions; Perimeter
In this lesson, the focus will be on conversions and calculations involving units of time. We will also look at how to calculate different perimeters.

Perimeter - Stepping Up
In this lesson, we will continue with perimeter and focus on calculating the perimeter of various composite shapes.

Area and Total Surface Area
In this lesson, we will focus on the four core shapes and how to calculate the area of these shapes. We will take area one step further and work on calculating the total surface area of various shapes and objects.

Total Surface Area and Volume
In this lesson, we will continue looking at calculating total surface area of the four core shapes, as well as focus on calculating the volume of rectangular prisms and cylinders.
